Set just a block off of fashionable rue St-Jean a short way west of the Old City wall in charming Quebec City, Bar La Drague (815 rue Ste-Augustin, 418-649-7212) is the city's main gay and lesbian hangout, a cavernous space containing a few different areas for hobnobbing and mingling. There's a main dance floor with a stage that hosts cabaret and drag shows from time to time, a laid-back bar with tables and chairs, a sleek basement disco, and a guy-oriented bear-and-leather cruise bar up top. Quebec City has a few other neighborhood bars as well as the popular lesbian club L'Amour Sorcier, a few blocks away, but La Bar Drague is the main event - it draws a mixed-age, co-gender bunch.

Cabaret-bar Le Drague is Quebec City's main gay dance venue, featuring a front outdoor terrace with bar, a two-level disco where drag shows are held (Zone 1), a laid-back space set up like a tavern (Zone 2) and a men-only floor (Base 3).
