I love my Man B - Nov. 12

 

 

 

On Sunday, my Man B and i went to see the movie Jeronimo at the Asian Reel International Film Festival. It’s a movie made by a young producer vacationing to Cuba and discovering the presence of a Korean community. He decided to make a movie. It was supposed to be a 3-month project and it took him 3 years to complete the project. In a nutshell, the story tells the establishment of 200 Koreans who left their country to look for work and opportunities. After a stop in Hawaii and Mexico where they were treated like slaves, they decided to continue to Cuba.

 

Lim Kim-Je was born in 1926 to one of the Koreans couple. He was called Jeronimo. The movie continue telling what happened to him, his brothers and sisters and his children. His wife is still living in Matanzas. He became the first Korean to enroll in university at the same school and the same year as Fidel Castro. In 1959, Jeronimo supported the Cuban revolution. Then he worked as a Vice-Minister in the Castro government. He died several years ago.

 

This was a good discovery of the Korean diaspora in Cuba.

 

 

I am learning more and more about my Man roots and culture. We have the opportunity to talk about it. We also chatted about going to South Korea in 2020. I’d love to meet his family and to visit his country. After the movie, I wanted to treat my Man by going to a restaurant. I wanted to say thank you for welcoming me in his life.

 

I want to say that I am always looking forward to the moment we go to bed together. It’s a moment of intimacy like no other. We love kissing and touching each other all over. And we usually wake up during the night and start kissing and caressing again. The best is waking up in the morning and say good morning holding each other. All these moments are full of « I love you », « je t’aime » and « saranghaeyo my Man B ».
