June 8 2019 - January 8 2020 - 7 months with my Man Bruce

 

Tomorrow will be our 7th month anniversary, 7 months I have been with this wonderful and loveable man. When I prepared to go to Toronto last June, I consulted a gay app for a local guy. When I looked at the guys, my man’s picture stood out. on his picture, he was smiling and was looking sharp. His other photos were showing him in many places around the world. His profile description stated his interest. In traveling, biking, cinema, and he was looking for an older guy. I texted him and he answered right away. I told him I was going to Toronto for the weekend to attend a conference and we decided to meet on Saturday evening. I flew to Toronto on Friday evening and went to my AirBNB. I went out for dinner and came back to my place. He contacted me to offer to meet that evening at a sports bar to watch the Raptors Game. But I was very tired so I asked to meet the next day as planned.

 

The next morning, I contacted him and asked if we were still on that evening. He said yes and then contacted me and wrote that his errands would be over by noon and we can meet then. I agreed to meeting him at 12 and we decided to meet at the TD Bank (corner of Wellesley and Church). When I saw him smiling at me, something in me go attracted right away. We went for a smoothy and chatted. He asked if I wanted to go somewhere. I suggested to go visit Distillery District. He agreed. We walked there and talked all the way. Halfway, he took my hand and we walked holding hands. And as the day went on, we got closer, then kissed, then sat down on a park bench (in a park with many families around us) and hold each other and kiss. All the time, we were also talking about each other. And we went to my apartment.

 

Since that day, we have developed a strong relationship and we really love each other. I love him so much. We visited each other’s home (Ottawa and Toronto), We met friends and family members. He attended my family reunion in September, we travelled to Europe together. I’d stayed 2 weeks with him in November and I was with him for the Holiday Season. The last 7 months my life has been changed upside down and I am happy to be with him. Professionally I left my full time employment and changed work. I have a one-year contract 4 days per week. And it is crystal clear in my mind that after that contract I will be moving to Toronto to be with him.

 

Today, I can say that I love him deeply and I am happy to be with him. I am learning about him and we get along very well. We liked many things in common. I love our cultural life, our traveling plan, meeting his friends, introducing him to my family and friends and proud to do so, and our sex life. When looking at everything we have done and accomplished in 7 months, it feels like a long time. But also, I feel like we met few days ago. The love and care for him is still as strong as the first day.

 

So HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BRUCE - I LOVE YOU.
